Prayer Requests

Here is a list of prayer requests that we have. {Each prayer request has a date at the end.  When the prayer is fulfilled, we will cross it out.  Thanks!

We have one goal in life.  To follow Christ 100%.  That is our main prayer- that we hear Him and follow Him throughout anything we go through.

  • We are $9,500 short if we accepted a referral today. Add to that the {very expensive} cost of airfare to Africa, and we feel so close, yet so far away. We know that He will provide, but it's hard to always remember it. (3/13)
  • As of last week, the Ethiopia gov't cut the number of cases the judges hear by 90% (they went from hearing 50 cases a day down to 5 a day).  It sounds like the issue will possibly work itself out, but everything is up in the air.  The orphan crisis in Ethiopia is frightening- one of the worst in the world.  The corruption of a few people shouldn't have this much impact on this many million of children. (3/13)(4/13 Update)  As of right now, it seems like the case numbers haven't been dropped drastically, but they are requiring a lot more investigation of certain situations.  This really has no effect on us right now, but please be in prayer for those who it does.  (6/14 Update!) PRAYER ANSWERED!!!! Rule is no longer in effect.
  • Please pray for our children.  For Sidney & Lilly to understand what is going on {as much as their little minds can fathom} and for our child over in Ethiopia; for their safety, health and their situation.  {3/13}
  •  For our cousin, Jason & wife Nikki, as they bring home their 3 little boys from Colombia tomorrow 3/14. That they will have a safe journey home and that everyone transitions well to the new life as a family of 5. {3/13} (4/13 Update) They are all home and adjusting to life as a family of 5!  Please keep them in your prayers.....I can't imagine how different (that's the best word I could come up with) it is going from a family of 2 to a family with 3 little boys.
  • For our legislators to agree upon a budget.  Almost all adoptions will be held up due to the potential shutdown.  Our I600A is almost done (hopefully) but would be halted until things get back up in running. We received an email from Holt stating that they were informed the Embassy in Ethiopia will not process or work on any cases in the event of a shutdown.  (4/7) PRAYERS ANSWERED!!!!!
  • For me to learn to stop worrying and trust in God.  I am a worrier and its hard to let Him take care of my problems.  {3/13}
    (4/13 Update) Keep praying!!!! I am getting better, but can use all the prayers I can get.
